Give yourself the most challenging and rewarding gift of your life: Volunteer at Resurrection House of New Orleans to rebuild not only homes...but entire lives.
Resurrection House has one focus: to rebuild flood-ravaged houses in New Orleans for those who don't have the resources to fix their own homes. This can only be done through the generosity of strangers throughout the country and from hard work by you, the volunteer.
You will be giving the gift of your labor and expertise. But at the end of your stay, you will feel like you've been given the gift when people share their stories and tell you how much this means to them and their family.
You will be changed by your trip to Resurrection House, and you will come back to bring your friends and family. Eighty percent of the city went underwater for two weeks, so rebuilding will be ongoing for the next five to ten years. Plan a trip this year or next year. We'll be here. And you will be glad you came.
